چکیده

Chest pain is a common complaint in young children and adolescents. Among the various causes of chest pain, subclavian artery aneurysm is seldom reported in pediatric group. Intrathoracic subclavian artery aneurysm is closely related to atherosclerosis in adults but usually secondary to trauma in children. Surgical intervention or endovascular therapy is required since the aneurysms are at an increased risk of rupture or thrombosis. In the present report, we describe a case of an adolescent presenting with sudden onset of chest pain and syncope due to a contained rupture of right subclavian artery aneurysm. The aneurysm was successfully repaired via endovascular stent grafting. (J Pediatr Resp Dis 2014;10:40-43)
